About Her

Who is She?

Transform Her is a business built off of a dream of a young woman name Roselena Twyne from Elizabeth, NJ . I attended Elizabeth Public Schools, with the goal of being accepted into an university where I would be a successful woman. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Health Education. Later, I received my Master's Degree in Public Administration in the Health Care Sector.

You know how life can through you a curve? Yeah-- so half way into my last semester I realized I liked helping people, but I was not sold on the healthcare sector being my be all, end all. I knew there was more that the universe held for me to lock into. As a result, I looked at all the things I actually LOVED. Number one was HAIR. I loved to feel good and look good. When it came to my appearance, I always held the thought "people will judge you based on your appearance before you even said a word". The "Don't Judge a Book by its Cover" saying sounds nice, yet honestly  we all judge a person initially by the first 10 seconds or less when seeing them. After realizing my love for hair and thinking back on the complements I would receive after doing my own hair, I knew it was time to tap into a skill I reserved only for myself.

I began creating hair units and providing bundles of hair for women that were truly beautiful inside and out. I loved the way I could transform a woman's spirit into a blossoming flower after the hair unit or bundles of hair were applied to their hair. I went hard for nearly two years with Transform Her, while still striving to find my way in my 9 to 5 to ensure I had financial stability, to flourish in my dream job (Transform Her). In July 2018, I was awarded Employee of the Month in the hospital I worked at and I was promoted to a Emergency Department Supervisor. It was a joyous time and I was beyond appreciative to see my hard work pay off. However, my time was beginning to be extremely limited and my spirit was no longer was in the right place. Also, I began to see how the hair industry began to shift and I needed to take time, and learn the new hair skills and tricks of the trade.

At a point, I began to read more, educating and uplifting myself, and listening to inspirational videos causing self-evaluation. I assessed my personal life, my career and the type of life I wanted to live. I wanted peace, joy, health and happiness to elevate every aspects of my life. As a result, things within my life shifted. I took a step back from my hair business and entered into the Higher Education industry, assisting students during their schooling.

Nonetheless, the desire for going back into the hair industry came knocking once again. I would have a number of ideas and literal dreams causing me to decide to return to the hair industry.

Along the way, I thought of my love for helping people, and making them feel beautiful. Just the conversations with the clients I had revealed how similar we can be and the need for tenderness we all yearn to possess and deserve. I then realized I would evolve into including wellness with Transform Her Journals, to allow open expression of one's self and providing a tool to foster healing if needed, along with self love.

Wrapping self wellness and beauty items together symbolizes who I am, and I aim to drive the happiness out of a person so that it can be exuded for the world to see and appreciate. Happiness is a choice! We should never settle. I want us all to win and choose decisions that will bring us joy. Transform Her is built on a dream realizing a shift in myself, and pulling myself into self growth.

Shopping with Transform Her is more than a purchase, it is an experience, as well as supporting a dream of a woman set out to make a positive impact on this world.
